The architectural study deals with the design of two related family houses (A, B). New constructions of family houses are proposed in the built-up area of the village. The effort was to preserve the morphology of a typical country house with the incorporation of elements of modern architecture. The houses have a rectangular floor plan of 13.5 m x 7 m. The buildings are two-story with a gable roof. The 2nd floor is optically separated in terms of mass thanks to the facade made of glued laminated timber from Siberian larch. The social zone of the houses is located on the ground floor and the private part on the upper floor.
The layout of the family houses reflects the shape and orientation of the plot, which enabled the placement of living rooms mainly to the south, partly also to the west and east. Both houses have a garage. The houses have a covered exterior parking space and a covered terrace. In version A, the terrace is located to the west towards the newly proposed service road, and in version B it lies to the south, in line with the mass of the house, towards the longer part of the plot. The plots are fenced with a low mesh fence, combined with a hedge exceeding its height. The entrance to the plot is proposed without fencing for easier access, greater contact with the street space and the possibility of mutual avoidance of passing cars.
